It’s Friday, nearly our entire crew is back from the West Coast and you know we’re hitting the big city hard tonight. In anticipation of a strong weekend ahead of us, we compiled our latest Weekend Special with a slightly higher energy level than past editions. As always, we included a nice mix of retro infused tunes that’ll have you chillin’, vibin’ and dancin’ from pregame to sunrise. Well, at only 26 songs it likely won’t last that long… but you can always throw it on loop ; )
Special notes below:
◊ It’s been a huge week for rising DJ / producer Caden Jester, as his newest material has received some big time coverage to say the least. In honor of that success, we led off the playlist with his DiRTY RADiO “Numbers” remix.
◊ Soulection’s Chris McClenney gave us “Pearl” yesterday, a smooth and funky number that may just be our favorite groove off this Weeks special.
◊ Aaron London hit us with a classy remix of Latir’s “Summertime” earlier in the week and it’s 80s swag meets jazzy feels in fine form.
◊ Leeds based DJ / production duo TWOGOOD crank up the energy on James Brown’s “Got Ants In My Pants” and it’ll have you two-steppin’ heavy.
◊ Nineteen-year-old Swedish producer MEZEH infuses some funk into Major Lazer’s “Be Together” and it’s rhythmic and right on point.
Special thanks to every artist involved. Have a great weekend ya’ll !
