We’ll likely get a few gnarls from our audience of trap and future dance lovers for this post. Quite honestly, we could care less. We post good music regardless of genre, and this new record Micky Blue co-penned — “The Good Bad The Ugly” — hit home with everyone on our team. Co-written by LyonHart and Mickey Valen, this track showcases a momentous hook over an uplifting pop ballet beat by Mr. Valen, deserving wayy more attention than it has received.
Beyond the obvious bittersweet love message the track delivers, (in our opinion) this track symbolizes the contrasting condition of the music industry in general. The good is music like this that has real direction and seeks to deliver an emotive message. The bad and ugly is all the fraud we see in lackluster imitation, industry shallowness and the machinery we call the major labels. The great is dedication by real artists (like Micky) who are out building towards something truly unique in sound, style and purpose.
We’ll only take the good and the great
