We just stepped off this aircraft in San Diego (here for CRSSD Festival), immediately pulled up our RSS / SoundCloud feeds and got shook by the amount of big time content that came out today. Zhu released a Bone Thugs x Trombone Shorty collab (LISTEN) and GoldLink dropped new heat (LISTEN), but we’re going to leave the promo for those tracks to the HypeTraks and Pigeons and Planes of the blogosphere.
We’re about that boogie. Those cool retro vibes and that funky stuff. That’s why when NYC jack-of-all-trades Outasight drops a track, you know we’re putting it up. Richard Andrew (aka Outasight) is the definition of a one man band, and his music has old-school feels yet new school appeal. The homie writes, produces and performs, and he’s toured internationally doing it all.
Today he dropped off “The Boogie”, a brand new alternative funk / pop anthem off his pending Big Trouble album. Showcasing an array of polished instrumentation, powerful vocals and electrifying trap-like breakdowns, “The Boogie” is a big time knock that’ll have you breaking it down on the hardwood.
