Brooklyn’s own Jimi Tents just went live with his first solo effort dubbed “5 O’Clock Shadow” and it has us pumped to say we’re New Yorkers. The 7-track project showcases Jimi’s strong delivery and ability to narrate thru lyricism, over an eclectic mix of classic NYC anthemic, trip-hop, jazz, funk and experimental.
Our team favorite off the project, “Should’ve Called” (ft. Jay Bel), was immediately selected as our Friday Knock of The Day. Groovy bass lines coated with velvety guitar riffs lay the perfect pallet for Jimi’s J.Cole-reminiscent flow. Check it out below and cop the full project => HERE.
